Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition Announced With Smaller Battery and Lesser Price
It has been a long wait but Samsung has finally announced a Fan Edition of the Galaxy Note7 which had a "booming" reception. Some changes here and there intend to make this model more durable and not explode while in your hands.
The specifications of Note Fan Edition are same as that of the Note7 aside from the battery being downgraded to 3200mAh battery as compared to the 3500mAh in the former. It will be available in Black Onyx, Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, and Silver Titanium colours and will retail for around $611.
Samsung initially plans to sell around 400,000 units in Korea before expanding to other markets. The Fan Edition will also have Samsung's new virtual assistant Bixby on board and a cover case will be provided alongside each and every phone.
Other than that, Samsung is not shy of admitting that aside from the battery, all other parts are being used from the former Note7. As a recap, the Note Fan Edition will be powered by Exynos 8890 Octa Core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. It will have a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Iris Recognition will also be present on this phone.
