Taiwanese manufacturer MediaTek has produced more than 220 million smartphone chips since 1997 and the chips are used by all smartphone manufacturers. While generally their chips are used in mid-range to budget priced smartphones but with their Helio series and new architectures, they are moving up the market steadily.
